Daily emissions

Every day the protocol creates new tokens for each subnet and shares them out: 18% to the team (the owner), 41% to the miners who do the work and 41% to the validators who check it, with their stakers.

Tokens created each day for this subnet, valued in USD (alpha price × TAO/USD of the day). The chain gives the owner share; miners and validators split the rest evenly.

These are newly created tokens, not sales. A subnet's business revenue (selling its product) happens off-chain: it only shows up here when the team uses it to buy back its own token, see Burns.

When a team locks its own tokens, it can't sell them: it's a sign of confidence in its project. Other holders can lock too, behind the team's key.

Burns

Destroying tokens shrinks the circulating supply, like a company buying back its shares. They come from three sources: buybacks paid with revenue, manual burns and emissions never paid out.

$4,509.31 of tokens destroyed since May 30, 2026 (1,305.60 י), i.e. 0.04% of the circulating supply.

Dollar value of the tokens destroyed each day (on-chain AlphaAssets.AlphaBurned counter): buybacks at what they really cost, other burns at the alpha's value that day. Grey: counted but not split yet (event history still being indexed). Over 1 year, one bar per week.

2 days excluded: missing reading, or the counter moved more than the subnet can burn (e.g. runtime migration rewriting it).

Buyback & burn

The team spends TAO to buy its token in the pool and destroys it right away. Usually funded by real revenue.

Manual burns

Someone, usually the team, destroys tokens it already holds (often its own emissions) instead of selling them.

Emission burns

Emissions that are never paid out: the owner routes the miners' share to a burn address. Less inflation, but also few miners actually paid.

Buybacks: the revenue signal

The Yugos team has bought back and destroyed $2,788.35 of its token since May 29, 2026: 19 buybacks, the latest 15 days ago.

That's 0% of what the team received in emissions over the same period: the share of its earnings it actually puts back into the token.
